Recognizable, serviceable brands hold their value best, and complete kits with the battery and charger included sell for noticeably more than a bare tool. If you have the original case or manual, include it — it makes a listing look cared for.

Testing before we list

We check that a tool powers on and runs before it goes up, and we describe what we found plainly. Honest listings avoid the arguments and returns that make selling tools miserable.

Whole shops and estates
